Every trip opens on its trip home: a one-screen view of what is happening now and what needs you.
What you will see
Organizers and chaperones see:
- Action items: things waiting on you, such as travelers not yet marked at the current checkpoint, requests to approve, rooms not checked tonight, bags still checked out, or travelers who have not joined the app. Tap one to go straight to the fix. When nothing is waiting it says "All caught up!".
- Quick stats: counts at a glance, like attendance and roster health.
- Quick actions: big buttons for the tools you use most.
- Up next: what is happening now and the next events on the schedule. Tap one to open it.
- Recent photos, recent chat and the latest announcement.
Travelers see the schedule, their own bus and count-off number, their to-do items (such as choosing a room) and a Need help? Ask the staff button.
On the phone, Customize dashboard lets you hide or reorder sections. On the website, you can hide an action item until something changes.
Maps
Maps belong to events on the schedule. When an organizer adds an event, the Location field suggests real places as you type, and choosing one drops a pin. An event can also have a separate Meeting point with its own pin and time.
Open any event to see its map. Open in Maps and Walking directions hand off to your phone's map app. Staff can tap Send meeting point to send everyone on the trip a notification like "Meet at 1:45 PM · North steps" that opens straight to the pin.
If a pin is in the wrong place, edit the event and choose the place again, or move the pin by hand.
Weather
Weather appears once the trip is close enough for a forecast:
- Before the trip: a day-by-day forecast for where the group will be each day, based on that day's event pins, otherwise the trip destination. The website shows it up to about two weeks ahead; the app shows it in the last week.
- During the trip (app): tap Turn on local weather to see conditions where you are. The app uses only your approximate, city-level location, never your exact position, and only while a trip is running.
- On an event: the event page shows the forecast for that place and time.
Choose °F or °C and mph or km/h in App settings on the phone or Account settings on the website.
If the forecast looks like it is for the wrong town, make the trip destination more specific (city, state or country) or add pins to the day's events.
