For chaperones

A chaperone app for school trips: your group, the schedule and who is missing

You were handed eight students and a lanyard. The Trip Binder puts everything else on your phone: your group with photos, the day's schedule, where to meet, the details you need about each child, and a live count of who is here.

Your group, with faces

Open the trip and see your students with their photos, bus and count-off number. Tap one for the details the organizer has shared with you — allergies, medications, dietary needs, emergency contacts and any accommodations you should know about.

Mark attendance as you see them

Tap students present as they board. Every chaperone is working the same live list, so the organizer sees the total fill in without walking the aisle. If someone is missing, all staff get one notification with names, not a flurry of texts.

Always know where to be next

The schedule shows what is happening now and what is next. When the organizer sends a meeting point, tapping it opens a map with walking directions to the exact spot. On iPhone, a countdown to the end of the current event can sit on your Lock Screen.

Students can reach the adults

Every traveler has one chat that goes to all staff at once, so a lost student is never writing to one adult whose phone is in a locker. Announcements from the organizer arrive as notifications, and urgent ones break through Do Not Disturb.

Common questions

Do chaperones have to pay or create a complicated account?
No. Chaperones never pay. The organizer sends an email invite; you open the link, sign in with Google, Microsoft or an emailed code, and the trip appears.
What student information can a chaperone see?
Names, photos, group, bus and accommodations are visible to chaperones. Medical conditions, allergies, dietary needs and emergency contacts are shown only if the organizer has shared that category with you, and only if the family has not withheld it. When something is hidden the app says so rather than showing "none".
Does the chaperone app work on Android and iPhone?
Yes. The Trip Binder is a free download for iPhone and Android, and everything is also available in a web browser.
