Change your email or password

Change your sign-in email or set a new password yourself from Sign-in & security, on the website or in the app.

Updated Oct 14, 2026

You can change both yourself. Everything lives on one page: Sign-in & security.

  • On the website: open Account, then Sign-in & security.
  • On the phone: open the Account tab, then Sign-in & security.

Change your password

  1. Open Sign-in & security and find the Password section.
  2. Tap Change password.
  3. Type the new password twice and tap Save password.

A password needs at least 10 characters, with an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter and a number.

Add a password to a Google, Microsoft or Apple account

If you signed up with Continue with Google, Continue with Microsoft or Apple, your account has no password yet. The same section shows Add password instead. Add one and you can also sign in with your email address and that password, on any device.

Forgot your password?

You do not need the old one. On the sign-in page, tap Forgot? on the website or Forgot password? in the app. We email you a 6-digit code; type it in and choose a new password. You can also choose Email me a sign-in code and sign in without a password at all. See Sign in and manage your account.

Change your email address

  1. Open Sign-in & security and tap Change email in the Email section.
  2. Type the new address and tap Send codes.
  3. We email one code to your current address and another to the new one. Enter both and tap Confirm change.

Nothing changes until both codes are entered. Codes expire after an hour; if one never arrives, check spam or tap Start again for new ones.

Your trips, roles and linked children stay with your account. Only the address you sign in with changes, and trip emails go to the new address from then on.

If you signed up with Apple and chose to hide your email, the page shows Apple's private relay address. You can switch it to your real address the same way.

Shared demo accounts

On a shared demo login, the email and password are read-only, because other people sign in with the same details.

Locked out?

If you cannot reach your old inbox, or you lost the phone with your authenticator app, email contact@thetripbinder.com. Tell us the name on the account and a trip you are part of, and we will help you after checking it is really you. We will never ask for your password or a sign-in code. See Contact support.

Still stuck?

Email contact@thetripbinder.com or use the contact page. A person reads every one.
