Try the demo trip first

Add a ready-made sample trip with made-up travelers and staff, explore every feature, then remove it when you are done.

Updated Oct 14, 2026

Not ready to put real student names in yet? Add the demo trip. It is a full sample trip with made-up travelers, a co-organizer, chaperones, buses, a schedule and more, so you can try everything before you build your own.

Add the demo trip

On the website: go to your trips page, click Try a demo trip, and pick the kind of trip closest to yours: Music tour, Sports trip or Field trip. The sample data changes; every feature works the same.

On the phone: on the Trips tab, tap Try a demo trip (or Add a demo trip at the bottom of your list) and pick a trip type.

The trip opens as soon as it is built. It has a purple Demo label so you never mix it up with a real one.

What you can do in it

Take attendance, run a bus count-off, post an announcement, chat, scan bags, open rooms and buses, and look at the roster the way a chaperone would. Features that normally need Pro, such as overnight dates and hotels, are open in the demo so you can see them.

A few things are switched off on purpose:

  • You cannot invite real people. The demo already includes a co-organizer and chaperones to explore with.
  • The demo's join code is fixed and cannot be rotated.
  • The demo cannot be duplicated.

Keep it fresh, or remove it

The demo is dated around the day you created it, so it drifts as time passes.

  • Phone: at the bottom of the Trips tab, tap Rebuild / switch type to replace it with a fresh demo departing today, or Remove demo to delete it.
  • Website: click Remove demo trip on your trips page. You can add a new one any time.

You only ever have one demo trip. Removing it does not touch your real trips. Accounts that signed up as a traveler are not offered a demo.

When you are ready for the real thing, see Getting started: your first trip.
