If you run the same trip every year, duplicate it instead of starting from scratch. You get a new draft trip with last year's structure, and every date moved to the new year.
Where to find it
- Website: on your trips page, each trip card you own or co-organize has a Duplicate button.
- Phone: open the trip, go to Trip settings, and find Duplicate trip.
Give the copy a name and, if you like, a new departure date. Then click Duplicate trip.
What gets copied
- The schedule, with every event, place and meeting point
- Travel days, for a trip with several travel days
- Buses
- Groups and attendance lists
- Attendance checkpoints
- Hotels (not who is in which room)
- Custom roster fields
- Your saved roster import settings, so next year's spreadsheet lines up the same way
- Luggage tag settings
- The packing list, if you leave Copy the packing list ticked. Items come back marked in, with no scan history.
What does not
- The roster. Next year's travelers are different people, so the new trip starts with an empty list. Your saved import settings make the re-import quick.
- Families, parent links, documents, photos, chat, attendance marks and the join code.
- Chaperones and co-organizers. Invite them again from Staff & permissions.
Dates
Enter a new departure date and every date in the trip moves by the same amount. A five-day trip stays five days, and day three stays day three. Leave the date blank to keep the original dates and change them yourself later.
After you duplicate
The copy is a Draft that you own, so nobody else can see it until you publish. Check the schedule times, import the new roster, invite your staff, then set the status to Active in Trip settings.
Pro
Duplicating a trip is a Pro feature. Free organizers can open the dialog and read what it does; it offers See plans when you try. See Plans and pricing.
Demo trips cannot be duplicated.
